The terms, in plain words.

How the app works, what we do and don't do, and what you're agreeing to when you create a login.

About these terms

These terms apply when you use invest.krystalcapitals.com (the "app"), run by Krystal Capitals. By creating a login you agree to them.

Please read them together with our privacy policy and our disclosures.

Who can use the app

  • Resident Indian individuals aged 18 or over, who are tax resident in India only.
  • With a PAN and completed KYC.
  • Investing in their own name, as a single holder.

Accounts for minors, NRIs, joint holders, HUFs and companies can't be opened online here yet. Contact us and we'll help another way.

Regular plans only

The app offers only the Regular plan of each scheme. Direct plans of the same schemes have a lower expense ratio and are available elsewhere.

How orders work

  • The app sends your orders to NSE NMF II, and you approve each order and payment on NSE's secure pages.
  • Your payment goes through NSE to the fund house. Krystal Capitals never receives or holds your money.
  • The NAV you get depends on SEBI's cut-off times and on when the fund house receives your money, not only on when you place the order.
  • Units are allotted in your name by the fund house's registrar. Timelines depend on NSE, your bank, the fund house and the registrar, which we don't control.
  • An order can fail or be rejected, for example if a payment isn't completed in time. If money left your account for a failed order, it is refunded through the payment route you used; tell us if it hasn't arrived.

SIPs and AutoPay

  • SIP instalments are collected through AutoPay, a standing instruction that you approve with your bank.
  • Keep enough balance before each debit date. A failed debit may attract bank charges, and a fund house may cancel a SIP after repeated failures.
  • You can cancel a SIP in the app. It takes effect once the fund house has processed it, so an instalment due very soon may still be debited.

Redemptions

Redemption money is paid by the fund house to the bank account registered on your investment account. Exit loads, lock-ins (such as the 3-year lock-in on ELSS funds) and taxes apply as set out in the scheme documents.

Information in the app

Fund data, returns, rankings and calculators are general information based on past data and stated assumptions. They are not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any scheme, and they don't take your goals or circumstances into account.

Past performance may or may not be sustained in future and is not a guarantee of future returns. Read the scheme information document and key information memorandum before you invest.

We take NAVs and scheme details from NSE, AMFI and public sources. They can be delayed or contain errors. Your fund house's statement and your Consolidated Account Statement (CAS) are the official record of your investments.

Market risk

The value of your investment can go down as well as up, and returns are not assured.

Keeping your account safe

  • Keep your password and the codes we email you to yourself. Krystal Capitals will never ask for them.
  • You are responsible for what is done with your login, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
  • We may pause access to your login to protect you, or when the law requires it.

When our team helps you

If you ask, a Krystal Capitals team member can help you with your account in the app. Everything they do is recorded under their own name. Our team can't link an existing investment account for you when your registered mobile or email doesn't match; those details must first be updated on your investment account.

Availability

We aim to keep the app available, but it depends on NSE, banks and other systems, and it may be unavailable during maintenance or outages. If you can't complete something in the app, contact us.

Limits of our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, Krystal Capitals is not responsible for losses caused by market movements, by delays or errors of NSE, banks, fund houses or registrars, or by use of your login after your password or codes were shared. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under law.

Closing your login

You can ask us to close your login at any time. Your investments stay in your name with the fund houses, and you can still manage them through the fund house or another distributor.

Law and complaints

These terms are governed by the laws of India. To raise a complaint, see grievance redressal.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with its date, and tell you by email about important changes.
